Biography
M
assimiliano teaches saxophone at the conservatory “F. Cilea” in Reggio Calabria and is the creator, founder and artistic director of the first Euroregional (Trentino,South Tyrol and Tyrol) classical music festival “Alpen Classica Festival” and the first Euroregional festival dedicated to saxophone “Alpen Classica Saxfest”.
He collaborates with several chamber ensembles including the Milano Saxophone Quartet, Sargas duo (sax and organ/piano), Worksong Duo (sax and accordion). He has performed in various concert halls such as Konzerthaus Wien, Verdi Hall Milan, Milan Triennale, Belgrade Philharmonic, Trento Philharmonic, Teatro Vittoria Turin, Teatro Ristori Verona, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Muth Theater Wien, Bielsko Concert Hall, Katowice and Krakow Music Academy, “Frederik Chopin” University of Music Warsaw, and festivals such as Milano Musica, Festival Mito, Transart Festival, Società del Quartetto di Vicenza, Società del Quartetto di Milano, Vienna Saxfest, Musica Riva Festival, International Saxophone Stage of Fermo, Laudes Organi Wien, Vespri dìorgano di Monza, Italian Saxweek, Opera Estate, Chile Saxfest, Festival de Musica da Camera “Chiloè Concertante,” Temporada de Musica UTEM (Chile), Tarapaca Musica Festival (Chille), and a

He studied at the “Giuseppe Verdi” conservatory in Milan, where he obtained his second-level academic diploma.
After graduation, he attended an additional two-year specialization in Vienna at the Konserwatorium Wien, under the guidance of M. Lars Mlekusch.
Alongside his musical activities, he also graduated in “Modern Languages and Literatures” and “Modern Euro-American Languages and Literatures” with best marks, studying at the University of Trent. Massimiliano is a d’addario, le freque and selmer artist.
